It has been a long journey bringing this idea of a magazine to this stage. Our staff has gone through many incarnations and we now have the best mix of people yet! We're proud of who we have working on this project and hope to add equally talented people in the future.

We are bringing into the world a magazine that some may classify as retro. We will not be including digital photography at any point in the life of EMULSION magazine. Our emphasis will always be on the traditional film based, wet darkroom processes of photography. Besides, who wants to see yet another digital photography magazine. We are excited about the roots and foundation of what the original photography is. The large commercial users may have succumbed to using a digital camera, but the artists remain. Our goal is not only to entertain, but educate the public about the world of analog photography. It is the passionate pursuit of the magic that first drew us to learn how to take pictures and become proficient in this hands on process from desire to finished print.

EMULSION will be a quarterly magazine which will be split into 4 categories. Each issue will revolve around a certain category. Those categories will be: Photographer/Photography Groups, Alternative Processes, Types of Photography, and Travel/Culture. We will provide in depth coverage on each subject. EMULSION magazine is meant to offer something instructional to beginner through advanced. What we might not have space for in the magazine, will be augmented with our FREE online web coverage.
